Can't start the service due to java.io.IOException: Can't open HTTP server socket on port 80

Can't start the service due to java.io.IOException: Can't open HTTP server socket on port 80 When i am starting SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 i am not able to get the homepage at its startup. I have checked the Cluster_Log and it says OS: Windows XP VM vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc. Error Applying Transforms

Sometimes when attempting to install JAVA a messagebox will appear saying that



Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified


transform paths are valid.



The java team is still investigating about the reasons for this error.


The solutions for this error are.

Download/Install


Click Offline installer



Note: Before installing again, it is highly recommended to remove existing

traces of the Java from your system.

Error 1101: error reading from file.,Java installation,error

When doing installation of JAVA it is common that it will popup the following error message and the installation will fails


Error 1101. Error reading from file: http://javadl-esd.sun/update/1.6.0/sp-1.6.0_05-b19/sp10033.MST
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.



Theire are so many reasons for this error. Mostly windows NT,2000,XP this error is encountering due to problems in windows installer service.


Windows 98, ME users receive this error if there is a conflict between the version of the Windows Installer msi.dll file on the system and the one being installed by the installer.


SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM

For Windows NT, 2000 XP Users:
Unregister and Register Windows Installer Service.

Go to Start -> Run.


Type msiexec.exe /unregister


Click OK




Go to Start -> Run.


Type msiexec.exe /regserver


Click OK


Run the Java installation again.


This should install the Windows Installer Service.
Note: If the above fails to address the issue, download and install the latest Windows Installer Service from Microsoft for your respective operating system.

For Windows 98, ME Users:



Delete the msi.dll file on your computer.

AS a first step you goto manual download

Click Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008 Online. The File Download dialog box appears.


Choose the folder location. (Save the file to a known location on your computer, for example, to your desktop).

Double-click on the saved file icon to start the installation process.

The main indication of this error message is JAVA installation failed. Installation process can fail if process named 'Java Quick Starter ' (jqs.exe) is running and has not terminated after uninstallation.

Below is the worground to work on Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 operating systems.

1. First step is to uninstall all the older versions of JAVA software.

2 As a step to you have to take task manger by pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE. From the process tab find jqs.exe and click end process. To stop jave through command prompt take start->run->type cmd then press enter. The command prompt type net stop "Java Quick Starter" and press enter.
